Midrash on the Torah Portion
Join Rabbi Leiah for a weekly delve into the Torah portion as seen through the lens of rabbinic midrash. Each week we will examine part of the parasha in light of the insights provided by some of the classical midrashic works, such as Midrash Rabbah, Tanchuma, and Mechilta d’Rabbi Yishmael, as well as examining the nature of midrash as a way of reading and of writing, the rules of midrashic interpretation, different kinds of midrash, etc.
