Tamara will also play music composed in the ghettos and Lagern on her 1935 Joseph Bausch viola, a rescued Holocaust relic.
Dr. Tamara Reps Freeman is the musicologist for the international Association of Holocaust Organizations. She is a professor of Holocaust music, culture, performance and education at Montclair State University, John Cali School of
Music, and Saint Elizabeth University. Dr. Freeman is the faculty advisor for Musicians for Social Justice at MSU. She teaches and performs Holocaust music across the country, facilitating teacher and student workshops and producing concerts.
