Ginger Gold Schnitzer to Speak in Person at Temple Israel on “Changing Minds & Laws: The Underworld of NJ Politics”

Ginger Gold Schnitzer spent 25 years as a New Jersey State House lobbyist, and for most of that time she represented the powerful NJ Education Association. She will give a firsthand account of how lobbyists get things done in the hallways and backrooms of our state capitol.
Ginger Gold Schnitzer is the Executive Director of the Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership at Saint Peter’s University, which is dedicated to inspiring and training the next generation of policy makers, elected officials, and engaged citizens. Additionally, in July of 2020 she was appointed to serve as Director of the Master of Public Administration Program and Associate Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the university.
Prior to joining Saint Peter’s University in March of 2019, Ginger served as the Director of Government Relations for the New Jersey Education Association, where she was the chief lobbyist and political strategist for one of the nation’s largest school employee unions.
Ginger was elected three times to the Plainsboro Township Committee and served on that body from March of 2000 until October 2008. Previously, she was president of the Plainsboro Public Library Foundation and vice-chair of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board. In 2008, Ginger was appointed to serve as a member of the Electoral College. She was also a 2005 Leadership New Jersey Fellow. She previously taught public administration/policy making as an adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science at Rutgers University.
