Join Bergen County Commissioner Tracy Zur

Food Insecurity in Bergen County, and
what we can all do to help our neighbors in need.
Tracy Zur is currently a Commissioner in the County of Bergen, a member of the Board of
Trustees of Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, and a member of the Temple Israel. She
has extensive experience within governmental and nonprofit entities.

In the past, Ms. Zur served as a judge in the Bergen County Central Municipal Court, Prosecutor in the City of Hoboken and Passaic, Public Defender in the City of Englewood and Borough of Woodcliff
Lake, Assistant Corporation Counsel in Jersey City, and Commissioner on the Bergen County
Utilities Authority. In July of 2020, Commissioner Zur launched the Bergen County Food
Security Task Force to address the growing rate of food insecurity in Bergen County and the
impact on our local food pantries. She continues her work to ensure that Bergen County’s food
pantries have adequate access to nutritious food for families in need, and to bring awareness to
the face of hunger in Bergen County.
