Debra Cantor and her husband, Marc, moved from Park Slope, Brooklyn in 1997 to Ridgewood, NJ. They immediately joined Temple Israel. Their children, Jeremy and Sara, completed their TI religious school training and had b’nei mitzvahs at TI. They are now pursuing their own careers in Manhattan and Denver, respectively. Both Debra and Marc have been active with the Music Committee at Temple Israel. Debra currently serves as co-chair with Tamara Freeman. Formerly a Sisterhood President, Debra now serves as Sisterhood co-chair with Elaine Silverstein. Debra is a special educator in a NJ public school, a Hebrew Sunday school educator, and a private tutor.
