Robyn Berger

October 2021

Robyn was born and bred a Jersey Girl, growing up in Fair  Lawn a few towns over.  She went to college at Hofstra, on Long Island where she received a BA in Liberal Arts. She went onto graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and received a Masters in Social Work.  She worked on Long Island at a JCC for a few years before Jersey called her back.  She has been working as a school social worker in Jersey City for more than 20 years.

Robyn lives with her husband of almost 18 year, Jay and their 2 kids, Jacob, a 9th grader at Bergen Academies High School and Halley a 5th grader at Sicomac Elementary School, in Wyckoff.  They became members of Temple Israel in 2016 and never looked back.  They were welcomed into this community with open arms.  Robyn was first recruited to the board 3 years ago as a trustee and now chairs the Youth committee, promoting USY and Kadima to our members.

When not at Temple Israel Robyn is busy being a taxi to her two busy kids, running to tae kwon do, cheerleading or to a 5k to cheer on all of her family.  Family game nights are held as often as possible in the Berger household as family is key to everything.
