Temple Israel’s Summer Music Friday Nights series continues on Friday, July 23, featuring Cantor Caitlin Bromberg and Mr. Gerard Edery in “Songs from the Judaeo-Spanish Tradition”. The songs will be sung in Ladino, a language which is a blend of medieval Spanish, Hebrew and other Romance language and Middle Eastern elements. Enchanting love songs will lead into songs of spiritual and mystical content, providing an exotic and beautiful ambience with which to welcome the Sabbath. Come at 7:00 p.m. for wine and hors d’oeuvres, enjoy the concert which begins at 7:20, and then stay for Kabbalat Shabbat services at 8:00. Admission is free, but donations to the Music Committee are appreciated. Babysitting will be provided.
Shabbat morning services begin at 9:00 am. Babysitting is available at 9:00 am in Room 5.
Sunday morning minyan is at 9:30 am at the home of Barbara Schneider & Bob Smolen, 311 Mack Place, New Milford, NJ. Please note location.
